It is time once again for our annual meeting! Wolverine State Credit Union Board of Directors and staff hosted the annual meeting on March 26th at 1381 N Bagley St, Alpena, MI at 5:00pm. The agenda outlined the financial performance and community impact of 2023. Below is a summary of our 2023 Annual Report and a glimpse into our continued journey of growth.
Financials
Despite challenges that were presented by the dynamic economic landscape of 2023, Wolverine State Credit Union maintained a robust financial position. We were able to provide great interest rates on deposit products and offer Certificates of Deposits, resulting in a record number of dividends and interest earned by our members. Wolverine experienced growth loans and introduced new loan products including Home Equity and HELOC products. The financial performance of 2023 has set the groundwork for this coming year, allowing for investments in new products and services for our members, better training and education for staff and greater support for communities we serve.
Community Impact
Beyond the financial snapshot, Wolverine State Credit Union had a significant impact in our communities last year. The Wolverine team gave over 485 volunteer hours to our communities in 2023 along with $72,248 donated back into organizations and causes that make a difference. Wolverine State Credit Union helped over 100 organizations and participated in 40 community events last year. Two scholarships were awarded, totaling $1,000 to local students. We remained steadfast in our credit union commitment to help people.
